To tell you honestly, my itinerary in Boracay is significantly appalling but I am glad that something good came out from this mess.

Bungan-Bungan Falls is a paradise covered by lush forest, picturesque terrain and unique rock formation. With its cold blue water and avatar-like ambiance, absolutely this is the commendable waterfalls to unwind, the best place to be.

Situated in the secluded area of Barangay Laserna, Nabas Aklan, Bungan-Bungan Falls is unexpectedly discovered by the locals, it is developed and open to the public last March 2017. Because of its eccentric beauty and peculiar water feature, tourist started to visit this exciting cold spring.

TOP THINGS TO DO

As there is no entrance fee going to Bungan-Bungan Coldspring, surely you would enjoy the cold spring and other fun activities it offers.

Swimming

The best activity at Bungan-Bungan Falls. It feels like you are swimming in the arctic ocean when you dive in, the water is super cold like an ice bucket challenge but it is super fun and extraordinary. Adding up to the beauty of cold spring are the trees that looks like “Montage Kapalua”, one of Hawaii’s famous forest Beach Resorts.

The waterfalls can also give you a free massage, just position your back and you will be relaxed with the cold virgin water caressing your skin and bones.

Also, if you have bottled water, beers or soda, you can just put it in the running cold water and after 10 to 15 minutes it will be one of your best cold drinks ready to cheer.

Picnic & Karaoke

I’m pretty sure you don’t wanna miss Bungan Bungan Falls with food and drinks. So whether you are a solo, couple or a group traveler it is delightful to have a picnic after getting tired jumping and diving in the waterfalls. You might want to rent one of the cottages of the place. Just pay PHP 100 to 200 to a family size cottage good for 6 to 10 persons and for extra enjoyment for singers and dreamers you can rent a Karaoke which costs PHP 150 – 300.

Doing a Boodle fight at Bungan Bungan Falls is also a fun way to eat your food with your family and friends. It is a traditional way of Filipinos to partake food with their bare hands with the Banana Leaf as a plate.

Explore the Market & Giftshops at Nabas

I know this is common to all but every place that you visit can have something unique that you might like to keep as a souvenir or as a proof that you’ve been there before.

I would say that I found nothing special to the shops at Nabas but what I learn are their cultures, the cost of living of locals and what products they are proud of. What I noticed is that they have a huge coconut plantation, when you look side by side you can see a coconut and so, I am very happy to eat and drink more than one coconut meat and juice during my day tour.

I’m proud to share this place as I learn how simple the people are living in Nabas. They are healthy eaters, they mostly eat fish and vegetables, drink coconut and water from well. Inevitably, children use to like chocolates and cake as they said, they only eat sweets when their neighbors with means have special occasions, birthdays or a relative just came from abroad.
