Coffee for me is a necessity and while writing this article about coffee shop in Subic, I’m kind of having nostalgia with a mix of excitement and of course happiness.
Since today is another day to feature taste worthy and artsy coffee, as well as sumptuous cuisine, let me remind you to make your tummy ready! Haha just kidding.
Without further ado, I have listed 10 cafes (in no particular order) you might interestingly pay for a visit when you are in the great province of Subic, Zambales.
- Holy Grounds Coffee House
I am planning to go on a diet for a day, but when I tried the work of art coffee and rolled-up lasagna at the Holy Grounds Coffee, things changed. Kidding aside, food and drinks in this place are commendable.
Their coffee has a great zest to start the day. And when it comes to their waffles, sandwiches, and breakfast menu, being objective here, I would recommend most of it.
What a creamy Lasagna…
The ambiance and location of Holy Grounds is also a perfect spot to spend time with your family, friends and loved ones.
For their pricing, you could just spend between PHP 300 – 400 ($6 – 8). The said budget, would allow you to enjoy their signature Caramel Macchiato He-Brews (PHP 135) and the most sought-after Chicken Pesto (PHP 230).
I would like you to experience this place and so, you might find the details below helpful.
- Address: Sampson Rd, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales

2. Ohmar’s Cheesecake & Coffee
Ohmar is very famous for its cheesecake. People usually come to this place because of its delicious & mouthwatering freshly baked carrot cake, strawberry cheesecake, blueberry, and other cakes to name. And we all know the perfect match of cheesecake? Of course, a good cup of coffee.
Aside from toothsome pastries, they also offer hot and cold coffee.
I would say that their ice blended cappuccino and peanut butter milkshake is a must try.
Getting ready for my first bite 🙂
For a price range of PHP 120 -200 ($2.40 – 4.00), you will enjoy their coffee, frappe, & cheesecake.
Who could not resist this?

3. VSNRY Café
This coffee shop offers unique handcrafted coffee and delectable food perfect for your hungry tummy.
Their place is spacious and homie, and location wise is very convenient (in front of SM Central Olongapo City).
The price of their coffee is ranging from PHP 90 – 160 ($1.80 -3.20) which is reasonably affordable. And aside from their good coffee selections, you should not miss their pasta, sandwiches and breakfast menu which has a price between PHP 180 – 500 ($3.60 – 10.00).
Always excited to eat!
Asparagus Prawn Aglio E Olio
When it comes to what you should order, I would personally recommend their Black Expresso – this coffee is very strong and originally grown in the province of Sierra Madre, Nueva Vizcaya. If you wanted to be active for the whole day, this one is for you.
But if you are the type of person, that would prefer coffee and cream, you might want to try their Caramel Latte or the Mellow Mocha.
Yum 🙂
As I am very experimental type of human being haha, I ordered their signature Affogato. Affogato is an Italian coffee- based with gelato topped. My experience trying it was nice and just to share, it made me insomniac until 4 am. Really? Yes. Haha.
I am wide awake with Affogato 🙂

4. Marthina’s Coco Corner Café
While writing about Marthina’s Coco Corner Café, I was like “Oh My, I want to drink their Thai Latte right now”.
This shop has a lot of signature coffee, milk tea and fresh fruit shakes to offer.
Reese Milk Shake
You will also experience in this place Filipino food with a twist, so better prepare your stomach when you get here.
For snack, I would recommend their Clubhouse & Quesadilla. Though, there’s plenty of great food to choose from.
For the price, you might need to shell out PHP 120 – 200 ($2.40 – 4) for their coffee and milk shakes. And for their sandwiches, entrees, and platers for sharing, I think PHP 180 – 500 ($3.6 -10) would be the ideal budget.

5. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
If you think you are a heavy drinker of coffee and tea, then I would say that the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is the perfect spot for you.
This coffee shop not only offers generous serving of cup of coffee but also offers a wide variety of flavors to choose from, be it American-based, western style and even Filipino origin.
When I went for a visit at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Subic, I’m so delighted to get what I paid for. For only PHP 115 ($2.30), they served me a big cup of cappuccino which I really like. At first, I thought, it was a small ration since I just ordered for a regular size, but it came to my surprise when the cup is front of my eyes.
Their coffee mug can cover my whole face 🙂
On the other hand, I really don’t prefer their pastries. To me, it’s like something “casual” or something that I can find in a regular bakeshop. Their Calamansi cake is awesome, but for the other, it is just okay.

6. Flavor Aroma Food & Beverages
What I like about this café is they serve coffee and tea with fresh ingredients.
They don’t put a lot of toppings or something that would change the texture of a drink, they serve it, for you to experience the real flavor or pinch of a coffee.
This place also bakes breads and cooks delicious pasta. If you’re a type of person who like to eat simple food, I would say this place is must try.
For their pricing, just prepare PHP 250 – 500 ($5 -10) per person. This budget is good for a cup of coffee and their pungent snack.

Their best seller which is the Banana Mocha Coffee Milk Shake is totally a must try.

With a price range of PHP 86 – 200 ($1.72 – 4), you could enjoy their Xtreme Coffees, Frappes, Bombs, and special drinks.

8. Sefina’s Bakery & Café
Sefina’s Bakery & Café is a place ideal for students or those who would like to drink coffee to relax and be active.
I would honestly say that their selections of coffee are not that very strong compare to other coffee shops. But their pastries are so amazing and flavorsome.
I would not forget their Cream Puff; it is one of my favorites and I really like it when it is cold and crunchy.
I just came from running, I need rice!

9. The Coffee Shop
Another cool cafe to try for is The Coffee Shop in Rizal Street Olongapo City.
This place showcases Filipino Coffee, Food and Snacks that you will surely love.
Black Coffee is really their primary coffee and if you are expecting lattes or western style coffee, I’m afraid that it is not available on this café.
On the other hand, I think the perfect time to visit this place is in the morning. As they serve Fried Rice, tocino, egg or “Filipino breakfast” in short, serve with a great cup of coffee.

10. Starbucks
Starbucks is everyone’s coffee. Whether you are in Metro Manila, in province or abroad, this coffee shop would always show up.
I don’t think that I need to elaborate my experience to this café as I know that most of us tried their best-selling coffee, frappes, and tea.
But to share with you, my go to coffee in Starbucks would be the cappuccino or French vanilla.
And for the pastries, I would honestly say that I am disappointed with their croissant, to me it is not a real croissant. I would not recommend it for PHP 85 ($1.70). Their cinnamon bread is way better and more worthy for its price.
When it comes to ambiance and comfort, Starbucks is always a good place to relax & sip a great cup of coffee.
